So my sister wants to start sewing more, because

a. She’s 5′ 11″ and can never find pants long enough for her legs or shirts long enough for her arms.

b. She hates synthetic fibers as much as I do and it’s difficult to find natural fiber clothes that aren’t made of cotton

c. She’s a biologist and would physically fistfight microplastics if given half a chance

So her gift from mom and dad for her birthday was a sewing machine. Not a super expensive one but a good solid serviceable one.

And recently she asked “So where do I GET wool or linen and thread that isn’t polyester” and mom was like ‘go ask your sister’

And I, of course, crashed into the group text like “GET A PEN I HAVE WEBSITES FOR U” and honestly I’m thrilled about this

I don’t know a lot about sewing, but I want to make or have my mom make some linen pants & shirts for when I’m watering, because it gets to 105 here and we have mosquitos so I need to be covered. What type of linen do I buy? Also, linen pajama shorts, yes/no?

(I’ve been wearing my renfaire pants which are a linen mix, I think. But the frikking mosquitos that hide in the tomatoes get my arms)

Medium weight is what I’d go with.

And linen pajama shorts is a HARD yes.

A digital drawing of a series of 5 colourful outfits, all worn by Papyrus (from the hit game Undertale). The entire image is very vibrant, and almost hurts to look at. He is standing in 4 of the poses, and in the 5th, he is laying down on the floor, propped up on one elbow with his other hand draped over his knee. 1. He wears a red scarf, a brightly coloured leather jacket with flames on the sides, blue shorts with yellow trim, tall black boots with a gold zip, red soles and spikes at toe and st the back of the boot. 2. He has on a mismatched suit. The blazer is covered in colourful squares with an image inside each square. Notably, within the squares are a fried egg, a skull, a fish and an orange. His undershirt, vest and belt are 3 different shades of blue, and the vest is held together with a small bone that punctures the fabric. The pants have a gradient from bright orange to a darker, purplish red and appear to be patterned with a criss-crossing net pattern. His plain brown dress shoes are hidden by the Papyrus laying on his side. The outfit is topped off by his signature red scarf. 3. The next outfit is a cropped sweater with a boob window, through which you can see his sternum and ribs. The sweater is made up of 2 parts- the upper section including the sleeves is a pale blue, with white pom poms dotted across the surface. The bottom half is checkered with brightly coloured squares, and at the corner of the boob window there are two yellow flowers with green leaves. He is also wearing a pleated pink and black skirt, which is edged with yellow and gold. Along the hem of the skirt is Mettaton (in his sexy box form) in various poses. Instead of Papyrus' normal scarf, he has a red bandana tied around his skull, and red legwarmers. 4. Papyrus is wearing a cowboy hat and red heart shaped glasses. He has a jacket or sweater draped over his shoulders, showing off the 3 large messy stars decorating the sleeves. The red crop top he has on is emblazoned with his own face (specifically styled like a pixel sprite from the game, where he is wearing sunglasses) He has on a pair of flame patterned pants, and brightly coloured blue sneakers with red and yellow trim. 5. The last Papyrus lays on the floor, showing off his red velvet heels and red stockings. He has on a pair of light jeans with orange and purple flowers painted on them. He wears colourful button up shirt over a orange graphic t-shirt, which depicts a bone on a skateboard. The bone is wearing sunglasses and flexing. He is also wearing a baseball cap backwards, and it is bright red just like his heels and stockings.ALT

He sits in a chair, with his feet propped up on a medium sized white and brown dog. The dog is on their back, with their tongue sticking out a little as they sleep. Sans' socks are covered in tiny images of socks, and he has on a pair of basketball shorts. He wears an unbuttoned button up shirt over a graphic t-shirt. The button up is themed like Waterfall (location in Undertale) with a dark blue background and light blue collar and cuffs. It is covered with blue echo flowers and crystals. The black t-shirt underneath reads "Deez Nauts" and the image in the center is obscured by Sans's hand and a book he's reading. The book title (written in Comic Sans) is "Space Intentionally Left Blank" with a small ringed planet below it. He also has a pair of red glasses propped up on his forehead. Below his chair, a couple of papers lay on the floor, forgotten. 4. Fourth and last outfit. He has on a white hoodie with galaxy print sleeves and hood. In the center of the hoodie is the NASA logo, but it's been edited to say "SNAS" instead. He has a light grey turtleneck on underneath. His navy trackpants have two vertical stripes along the sides, one white and one red. He is wearing blue slippers with fluffy interior and pale yellow stars.ALT
